CHARLES BRAND · FOUNDER
Charles Brand founded Copernicus and Wolf after reading a Shelter and KPMG report predicting growing challenges in the UK housing market. He wanted to build something real—a business that creates secure opportunities for investors while building a future for his family.
Before property, Charles was a qualified tactical firearms instructor. That background isn't a footnote—it's the operating model. Discipline, structure, and trust aren't abstractions in that role; they're the entire job. He brought the same standard into every deal Copernicus and Wolf now handles.
Since founding the company, Charles has sourced over 20 property opportunities for investors and raised more than £1 million for developers through his network. He's currently working on two further projects for the same developer, with a combined £1.8 million in investment and a GDV of around £3.2 million—alongside developing two HMOs within the company's own portfolio.
Every deal gets sized on real figures—yield, GDV, exit—before it gets sold on story. If the numbers don't hold up, the deal doesn't go forward, regardless of how good it sounds.
Fixed-term returns, staged drawdowns, clear exit terms—agreed and written down before anyone commits capital. Not improvised once the deal is already moving.
If a deal isn't right for an investor, that gets said directly. Long-term relationships outlast any single transaction—and that only works if the read is honest every time.
